In a recent Vehicle Dependability Study by J.D. Power and Associates, the Hyundai Genesis sedan was named the most dependable vehicle in its class. That means owners who have had the Genesis for at least three years experienced fewer problems with their vehicle than owners of other models. The award is a huge testament to the status of Hyundai, which has quickly grown to become one of the most popular automakers in the world.

First released in the 2009 model year, the Genesis is proving to be a highly reliable vehicle in the long term. For example, a 3-year-old Hyundai Genesis is rated as more dependable than a 3-year-old Mercedes E-Class or BMW 3 Series. This award was given based on the feedback of 68,000 buyers who purchased vehicles between September 2010 and June 2011.
