As Smaller Cars Thrive, Infiniti Talks of Releasing a New Sedan
We all want to save money, and for many of us, a smaller car is a great way to be thrifty in our everyday lives. With less bulk to our vehicles, we save on gas and limit our effects on the environment. Auto makers are catching on to this trend, which is really taking off in the U.S., and as a result we have a delightful array of new, smaller vehicles coming our way in the next few years.
Infiniti has responded to the demand for smaller, efficient cars with rumors of a new small sedan. The proposed vehicle could allow Infiniti to compete in the small sedan market, which is especially critical considering Nissan (the automaker’s parent company) isn’t interested in released such a vehicle for at least three years. Similarly, Infiniti may also be planning to release a small SUV to compete with similar luxury sedans of a larger variety offered by BMW and Lexus.
The design, technology and features of the vehicles have yet to be released; as of right now, these proposals are simply rumored and discussed vaguely by Nissan and Infiniti executives.
